Girls for the Future
Creating a better and brighter future, one girl at a time
Who We Are
Our names are Maddie and Samantha, and this school year, we have been working on our project, Girls for the Future. We are students at a Maryland high school. We put together workshops to inspire and support elementary-age girls (including Girl Scout troops of elementary age) and nurture and build self-confidence. We know firsthand how amazing it is to have an older girl, a big sister, to look up to, and we want to provide that experience.
What do we do?
The focus of our program is to help elementary-aged girls earn badges in interesting and important topics. With our support, we believe this will be engaging and fun! Currently, the workshop topics the U.S. Government (nonpartisan), Online Safety, and Financial Literacy, but we are always open to suggestions. We will work with troop leaders to put together a program. Troop leaders can request that we work with the girls on all three of our current topics or pick and choose whichever best fits their needs. We will hold our 30-minute sessions entirely over zoom, which means we can work with girls all over the country. We can't wait to hear from you!
